CA Scotch Chick and her Scotch Gent travelled to DC for a week for just such a purpose. Always the perfect hostess, DC Scotch Chick had laid in a choice of three single malt whiskys, five year old Gouda cheese, and her killer chocolate chip cookies. Since we were officially launching the Scotch Chix web site and including our first reviews, she chose for our sipping pleasure two of our top five scotches: Highland Park 12 (a scotch from Orkney) and Glenmorangie 10 (a Highland scotch), which will be reviewed in tandem. She also included our favorite peat, Caol Ila 12, which will be reviewed with its less peaty brethren from Islay, Bruichladdich 12 and Bunnnahabhain 12.

You might be wondering when the Scotch Chix are going to stop telling stories and educating you on the finer points of single malt whisky and actually start sampling and reviewing the stuff. We agree. It is time to stop talking and start sipping.
